Merry Christmas,

The stockings have been pillaged,
the kids big and small off playing with their gifts,
and a monster nap taken by the parents.

All in all a lovely day.

Now to make it complete,
I put on this Laura Ashley dress to remember Christmas past.

The last time I wore this dress in the 80′s,
everyone I loved was alive, or a future twinkle in my eye.

This is my comfort for missing them,
to enjoy some things that we all enjoyed together.
